All downloads have been carefully tested and are free of viruses and spyware.
All work with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. I have done limited testing with XP
x64 Pro and they appear to work with the exception of Registry Mechanic
and Registry First Aid. However I tested on a test machine with very few
programs installed and the registry structure has changed greatly in XP x64 so
extreme care should be taken on your part before you use any of these programs
in x64 until I have had the opportunity to test them further.

Registry First Aid - Fix Windows Registry
One of the first of the registry cleaners/fixers and has continued to be improved over the years. Still one of the most popular.
Definitely does not work with XP x64.

Clean My PC Registry Cleaner - Fix and Clean Broken Windows Registry
A relative newcomer to the registry fix field it's come on strong in addition to
a strong registry cleaner it also features a reasonably good startup manager.
Appears to with XP Professional x64. Shareware, free to try, $37.50 to buy.

Advanced Registry Optimizer - Registry Cleaner and fixer. Includes registry compactor.
Includes the standard register cleaning function but also features the ability to build a brand new registry from the
old one, compacting the registry after the removal of old entries (sort of like
a disk defrag) and does a good job
of improving system performance.
